About Cary

Even though I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with my life, I'm looking to study Student Affairs in graduate school. Within that field, I'd like to work in Residence Life for a few years; and then possibly switch gears to work in either career counseling on the higher education level or college admissions.

I currently work as a Community Assistant (more commonly referred to as a Resident Assistant) at a small town college, and I absolutely love my job.  Although I never saw myself in this position as a freshman in college, I'm now a senior and in my second year of the job, and can honestly say that I can't imagine not doing it.

I love making connections with groups on campus, helping residents in any way I can, and simply helping them figure out that they have a passion for something is one of the best parts of this job.  The interaction with residents is incredible, and I'm so fortunate.  Even though living with seventy-one residents on my floor alone can be tiring, it's the ways residents say thanks that make this job so worth it.
